StoryTime AI creates personalised, illustrated bedtime stories for children. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Because our service is made for families, we hold ourselves to a high standard when it comes to children's data.

Account information: your email address and sign-in details, handled by Google Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.

Child profile information (provided by you): a first name or nickname, an age range, and story preferences such as favourite settings, companions and colours. We only ever need a first name — please don't enter surnames or other identifying details.

Generated content: the stories, illustrations and quiz results created in your account, so you can return to them.

We use this information solely to generate and save personalised stories, illustrations, narration and quizzes for your family, and to operate your account. Story preferences are sent to our AI providers (such as OpenAI for text and image/voice generation partners) only as needed to create your stories. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use children's data for advertising.

Your account data, child profiles and stories are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Access is restricted so that only your signed-in account can read your family's data.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time, including everything associated with a child profile. Deleting your account removes your stored stories and profiles. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

StoryTime AI accounts are created and managed by adults. Children use the service under a parent's, guardian's or teacher's account and cannot create accounts themselves.
